Have you ever wanted to write a letter to a busy president, but decided not to because you figured it would just get lost on some staffer's desk?

This site invites you to share your thoughts, hopes, criticisms, and concerns with President Obama. Write whatever you want him to read. We cannot guarantee that he will personally read your letter for him, but it's nice to think that he might.

Visit the Submit a letter page, and write Obama a letter. Please include your name (and use a real name too, please - last name initial is fine if you are feeling shy), and where you live.

We do not edit letters. However, we do reserve the right to not post letters that contain abusive language, profanity, or threats.

We also reserve the right to remove nuisance postings, multiple postings, and anything else that might be construed as spam.

Lastly, we do not condone unnecessary anonymity - we do not post letters when people do not provide their name, or what could pass for a real name. It can be just your first name, or last name with first initial. If you do not wish to own your comments, you should not be posting them publicly.

Please think before you hit 'Submit' - you're writing to the president, after all.

Just a couple of supporters with a little free time. We started this back during the actual presidential campaign, but see no reason to stop now.

Chances are you probably violated the rules laid out in the How does it work? section and/or the Disclaimer section, and included threats or profane insults in your letter. Please review the guidelines laid out in those sections. This forum posts letters for and against the policies of President Obama, not for venting one's spleen.

However, technical issues do arise from time to time and may prevent your letter from posting. If you need help reposting, contact the site admin and we'll help out.

This site was created to provide supporters and critics of President Obama a central forum where they can post their thoughts in traditional 'letter' form. The opinions posted here are those of the letters' authors alone.

Any content posted to this site that is deemed offensive, threatening, or in any way illegal will be removed by the site administrator once it is discovered. In the event of illegal activity, the site administrator reserves the right to pass along users' information to law enforcement officials.

Letters containing personal information for parties other than the letter writer will be removed.
